for 2008
Because od the UEFA Euro 08 and the Beijing
Olympic games 2008, the organising committee decided to advance
the dates of the Satellite FIVB Beach Volley Lausanne approx. on
month. It will take place from July 10th to 13th, 2008, still on
the Vidy-Coubertin sand. We are looking forward to seeing you again!
Women's
exhibition tournament
Saturday took place the 2nd women's Exhibition
tournament. With a very high level, it saw four teams battle, among
which a Swiss team, 70th in the FIVB ranking. This team had Annik
Skrivan playing in it, the only "romande" practicing in
the national beach volley team. With her teammate Nadine Zumkehr,
they wanted to respond to their large public which came to encourage
them. After beating the English pair Lucy Boulton - Denise Johns,
48th at the FIVB ranking, they lots against the best seede team
of this exhibition tournament, the Georgian, originally from Brazil,
Andrezza «Rtvelo» Martins - Cristine «Saka»
Santanna, 32nd at the FIVB world ranking. In the final, the Georgian,
without a surprise, finished first. Exploit by the Swiss, taking
into account their FIVB ranking, who fginished 2nd. Third, the Brasilian
Naiana Rodrigues - Alexandra Silva fourth the British Lucy Boulton
- Denise Johns.

The draw of the women's exhibition tounament
is known. At 4.00 p.m. the georgian team, ariginally from Brazil,
Andrezza «Rtvelo» Martins - Cristine «Saka»
Santanna, 32nd at the FIVB world ranking, will play the brazilian
team, Naiana Rodrigues - Alexandra Silva.
at 5.00 p.m. the british pair Lucy Boulton - Denise Johns, 48th
at the FIVB world ranking will play against the Swiss team, Nadine
Zumkehr and Annik Skrivan, 70th at the FIVB world ranking. For sure
many in the region will attend those exciting games.

Those two pairs, each winning all their games today, dominate the
tournament. This first game of the day will be capital and might
be a previwe of tomorows final that will take place, as usual, at
5.00 p.m. on Vidy-Coubertin.

Beach Volley Lausanne
The unavoidable FIVB tournament, the
Satellite FIVB Beach Volley Lausanne is the oldest FIVB Satellite
in the world. Put up 18 consecutive years, it owes its longevity
to the fidelity of its organizers to an appreciated formula, not
only by beachvolley players who come from all over the world to
take part in it, but also the infatuation of the public which can
now see games taking place as well during the day as in the evening
Friday and Saturday. A unique place, Vidy-Coubertin, something new,
alternation of men and women's games on Saturday until 10.30 p.m.
and the presence of two invited brazilian pairs, one masculine and
the other feminine: all the ingredients are again put together to
assure the success of this 18th edition.
